National Poetry Month

In honor of National Poetry Month I am going to post some of my poems. Nothing new really, just some I think are pretty good from my archives. Let me know what you think!

damply drips the sun

winding its way down

through drops of shifted light

trying vainly to reach earth

most of its heat spent

plops to the ground, with

sodden despair

hazing my eyes

like death’s laid claim

but hasn’t quite put out the lights

dark shadows turn

from monsters into cars

as they emerge

every breath

a small drowning

wading through the fog
